In accordance with federal regulations, the Commission’s Substantive Change Policy, and its related procedures, member institutions must submit a substantive change request to the Commission and obtain approval before implementing certain types of changes.
It is the institution’s responsibility to comply with the Substantive Change Policy and to obtain authorization before making any such changes. Implementing a substantive change without prior approval from the Commission can jeopardize the institution’s accreditation status and may result in loss of eligibility for Title IV funding.
The following submission dates apply to the Commission's six annual rounds of consideration of substantial amendment requests:
Beginning on January 1 and ending on November 1
